Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information‘ (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.
RaLok Technologies, (“Company“, “we“, “our” or “us“) understands the importance of protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected when you download, install, register with, access, or use this mobile application (the “app“), and how such information will be used and shared. It also explains choices you have to control the collection, correction and/or deletion of such information. By using our applications, you consent to the policy and to the collection, processing, disclosure and use of your information as described in this policy.

This policy applies only to information we collect in our app and in e-mail, text and other electronic communications sent through or in connection with our app. This policy does not apply to information that we collect offline, information collected in other apps or websites (including third party apps or websites you may access through our app), or information collected by any third party. These third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them.
Should you not wish to have your information gathered or used as described in this policy, you should uninstall the app from the device(s) on which you have downloaded it.

Do we collect Personally Identifiable Information?

We “do not” collect any PII from Anti-Theft Alarm application. All data, for example your settings and preferences in the app will only stay in your phone. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless we provide users with advance notice.

Permission used in Anti-Theft alarm are explained below.

  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION is required to get the location of the device when the SIM card is changed.
  • GET_ACCOUNTS is required to get the default email id used to setup the device. Email is sent from this id when SIM card is changed.
  • READ_CONTACTS is required to allow the user to select a phone number from his contacts. This number will receive an SMS when the SIM card is changed.
  • READ_PHONE_STATE is required to save the SIM card details in order to detect a SIM change scenario.
  • SEND_SMS is required to send an SMS from the device when SIM card is changed and wrong password is entered.

Third party information collection and use for online behavioral advertising.

When you use the app on an Android mobile device, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may include advertisers, ad networks, ad servers, and analytics companies.
The Company provides the advertising ID generated by the Android mobile device (which is a non-persistent identifier of your device that you can reset at any time) and may also provide real-time location data, usage data, or other information related to your use of the app (but will not provide your name, email address, or other PII) to these third-party ad servers or ad networks (“advertisers”). Advertisers may also use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the app. Advertisers may collect information about online activities over time and across different apps and other online services under a specific advertising ID. Advertisers may use this information (including the information we provide to them) to provide interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content to your mobile device.
We do not control advertisers’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should consult the respective privacy policies of the advertisers. The Company privacy policy does not apply to such advertisers.

Third party services used in Anti-Theft alarm app:

  • Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.
Google may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

This type of service allows interaction with social networks or other external platforms directly from the pages of this application.
The interaction and information obtained through this application are always subject to the user’s privacy settings for each social network.
This type of service might still collect traffic data for the pages where the service is installed, even when users do not use it.

  • Facebook Like button and social widgets (Facebook, Inc.)

The Facebook Like button and social widgets are services allowing interaction with the Facebook social network provided by Facebook, Inc.

Do we share your Personally Identifiable Information?

Except as otherwise provided herein, the Company will not rent or sell your PII to others without your express consent. We may disclose PII that we collect to third parties that assist us in providing services to you who are bound by contractual obligations to keep your PII confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. We may also transfer your information to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all the Company’s assets related to one or more of the App.
The Company may use and disclose aggregated, or otherwise anonymized information that does not relate to an identifiable natural person without restriction. For example, we may share anonymous usage data with third party analytics providers to help them and us understand the usage patterns for the App and so that we can better consider new features or enhance our services.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial s and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates s collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared. – See more at link.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

The Company does not knowingly collect or solicit PII from anyone under the age of 13 (or under the age of 15 in Japan) or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under the age of 13, or if you are located in Japan and are under the age of 15, please do not provide any information about yourself to us, including within the App. If we learn that we have collected PII from a person under age 13 (or under age 15 in Japan) without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

Fair Information Practices and rights of users

Users have the right, at any time, to know whether their personal data has been stored and can consult the Data Controller to learn about their contents and origin, to verify their accuracy or to ask for them to be supplemented, cancelled, updated or corrected, or for their transformation into anonymous format or to block any data held in violation of the law, as well as to oppose their treatment for any and all legitimate reasons. Requests should be sent to the Data Controller at the contact information set out above.
This Application does not support “Do Not Track” requests.

To determine whether any of the third-party services it uses honor the “Do Not Track” requests, please read their privacy policies.
We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

Legal action

The user’s personal data may be used for legal purposes by the Data Controller, in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of this application or the related services.
The user declares to be aware that the Data Controller may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.

Additional information about User’s Personal Data

In addition to the information contained in this privacy policy, this Application may provide the User with additional and contextual information concerning particular services or the collection and processing of Personal Data upon request.

System logs and maintenance

For operation and maintenance purposes, this Application and any third-party services may collect files that record interaction with this Application (System logs) or use for this purpose other Personal Data (such as IP Address).

Changes to this privacy policy

The Data Controller reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its users on this page. It is strongly recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the bottom. If a User objects to any of the changes to the Policy, the User must cease using this Application and can request that the Data Controller remove the Personal Data. Unless stated otherwise, the then-current privacy policy applies to all Personal Data the Data Controller has about Users.

Legal information

Notice to European Users: this privacy statement has been prepared in fulfillment of the obligations under Art. 10 of EC Directive n. 95/46/EC, and under the provisions of Directive 2002/58/EC, as revised by Directive 2009/136/EC, on the subject of Cookies.

Definitions and legal references

Personal Data (or Data)

Any information regarding a natural person, a legal person, an institution or an association, which is, or can be, identified, even indirectly, by reference to any other information, including a personal identification number.

Usage Data

Information collected automatically from this Application (or third party services employed in this Application), which can include: the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilized by the Users who use this Application, the URI addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method utilized to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server’s answer (successful outcome, error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and the operating system utilized by the User, the various time details per visit (e.g., the time spent on each page within the Application) and the details about the path followed within the Application with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the User’s IT environment.

User

The individual using this Application, which must coincide with or be authorized by the Data Subject, to whom the Personal Data refers.

Data Subject

The legal or natural person to whom the Personal Data refers.

Data Processor (or Data Supervisor)

The natural person, legal person, public administration or any other body, association or organization authorized by the Data Controller to process the Personal Data in compliance with this privacy policy.

Data Controller (or Owner)

The natural person, legal person, public administration or any other body, association or organization with the right, also jointly with another Data Controller, to make decisions regarding the purposes, and the methods of processing of Personal Data and the means used, including the security measures concerning the operation and use of this Application. The Data Controller, unless otherwise specified, is the Owner of this Application.
